Stationary mobile platforms - information

According to the definition of the Office of Technical Inspection, a stationary mobile platform is a material handling device. It is designed to transport people, goods and tools to the workplace. The stationary platform cannot be moved, it is installed in a given place permanently or for a long time. It consists of a chassis, a work platform and a scissor or telescopic boom.

The working height and maximum lifting capacity depend on the parameters of individual models, but most often, stationary platforms allow transport up to a dozen or so meters, and their baskets can accommodate one or two employees. Devices of this type are often used indoors: factory halls, warehouses, etc., but they can also be placed outside, for example when working on the facade of buildings - then they can replace scaffolding.

Together with suspended mobile platforms, these devices are classified by UDT as category II of handling devices.

Mobile platform operator course - details

Classes are conducted in the form of lectures and practical exercises. They are held in different locations. We organize trainings on mobile platforms in Warsaw, Silesia, Krakow and other large cities. We also conduct closed training for companies. In the theoretical part, participants can also take part in the Internet by watching instructor-led webinars.

Detailed information on the available dates of classes in individual cities is published on our website www.platformaedukacji.pl. Using the website, you can conveniently register for training and pay for it.

The duration of the classes is from 8 to 20 hours. These discrepancies result from the fact that in individual groups, classes can be conducted in full or reduced scope, depending on the experience and needs of the participants. The training bowl according to the program agreed with the supervision includes the possibility of adaptation, i.e. it can be shortened or extended according to the needs of the student / group.

The scope of the material during the training is consistent with the scope of knowledge and skills required in the state examination. Examples of issues raised by instructors include:

  • Safety and related responsibilities of the operator prior to commencement of work, as well as during and after work
  • Construction of stationary platforms
  • Provisions related to technical supervision
  • Rules of conduct in unusual situations: breakdowns, accidents at work

The exam, carried out by the UDT Warszawa or other committee, takes place after the participants have passed the lectures and the practical part. After obtaining a positive exam grade, the candidate obtains the qualifications for stationary mobile platforms and hanging platforms. Licenses issued by UDT are valid for 10 years.

The qualifications in the field of operation can be supplemented by taking part in our other training courses: lifting courses, self-propelled mobile platforms or slow-moving mobile platforms.
